The Stonecutters guild in World of Warcraft has been founded on the pacific standard time server Uther. The guild has been running strong for almost 2 years within WoW. Currently the guild has 150+ characters and 60+ active accounts. The guild structure consists of the following ranks:
| Ranks | Description |
|---|---|
| Stein Washer | New Recruit |
| Pwned | You’ve been bad rank |
| Stein Hoister | Full Member |
| Keg Tapper | Class / Raid Leader |
| Keg Meister | Officer |
| Grand Poobah | Guild Leader |
Grand Poobah / Keg Meister (Officers or Council): Arghem, Sendrax, Hurte
For the time being it’s the number we are going to limit to this position. This is in effort to make desicions happen quicker when things need to be changed within the guild. We used to have 14 and sometimes the officer forums were just long threads that tended to go in circles.
Keg Tappers: Seniority position for people who can fulfill multiple roles - Class Leader / Raid Leader / Recruiters. Long time members who have continually contributed to the guild. These people will really drive the day-to-day online activities. They will give valuable input on newer members, train people, and guide them in all the details of difficult encounters for raids. They will lead raids, attunement runs, and more. If one of these people are trying to put together runs its overall purpose is to progress and benefit the guild, so please join them.
Current Tappers: Mogaba, Grend, Cinaed, Vulture
Stein Hoisters: The meat of our guild. The valuable members that lift their steins in cheers and battle cry before Stonecutters rips the guts out of future encounters. These are the members that create the Stonecutters’ reputation and successes across the server. They also add to the light-heartedness and fun environment of SC.
PWNed: You did something bad and need to be quiet for a bit :).
Stein Washers: Trial Members, people being evaluated for full membership.
Our Code of Conduct. Nothing hard to abide by, more common sense than anything.
Our officers decided to put their foot down on people trying to make a dramatic exit. If you have an issue, please try to address it in a mature manner. Here is a rule that our members DO take seriously:
Many of the officers/veterans of the guild consider our membership to be something a little more substantial than just a tag over our head in game. The fact that this is discarded so easily at times has prompted us to discuss a policy concerning /gquit-ers.
Henceforth,
A) Quitting for any reason will result in the immediate loss of points/standing in the loot system.
B) Quitting on any character shall be universal for all characters.
C) Should you wish to re-join at any time afterwards, a new app with an apology included shall need to be posted.
D) Should you be accepted back, it shall be the same as any new member (trial status, etc.)
E) These rules shall apply to ANYONE.
If you feel /gchat has gone to far...turn it off. If you don’t like how a raid has been ran, gracefully exit and take it up with an officer later. There are numerous alternatives to just flat out quitting at any time and those should be exhausted before deploying the drama-nuke. From now on, if you /gquit, you won’t just skate back in. So take a deep breathe, relax, and try to have fun.
Raiding will be scheduled via signup sheets 3-7 days in advance. Due to the impending release of Burning Crusade, there has been a sharp decline in raid attendance and general interest in raiding. As a result, we feel it is best to make raiding “unofficial” and completly optional untill BC release. This doesnt mean we won’t raid, this just means we will not be pushing raiding. We will raid if we have the people on and excited to do so. SC will not be keeping a set raiding schedule as a result. Raids will generally start around 7PM during weekdays and odd times on weekends (usually afternoonish).
Many of the more difficult encounters in Molten Core and Blackwing Lair inflict massive fire damage onto the entire raid. Thus fire resistance is highly reccommended and even required for both MC and BWL because without it often players will die quickly on the encounters and leave SC shorthanded for most of the fights.
Following Fire Resist Requirements for raiding:
Players can use this Fire Resist Guide to locate good drops for their classes to improve their fire resistance that is required for raiding. Provided by Eclisped, another great Rogue Fire Resistance Guide as well.
