The return yardage can only be added to either DEF or WR I think.  DEF for sure.

My preference would be to leave the bench players at 6 but I don't have an issue with cutting it to 5.

As far as scoring, I'm fine with whatever.

For rosters why not make a TE spot? QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, K, DEF

I'm for shorter benches.  (5?, 4? whatever the general players agree on). Scoring doesn't much bug me one way or another, so whatever you guys come to conclusion on is fine with me.  As for roster spots..uh....I like em the way they are but if changes happen, I'll adjust.

If you make a fixed TE spot you cut that third receiver slot. The reason we've done that spot flexed out the last 6 seasons is that after maybe 5 TEs the drop off in production is drastic.

In the past Aend and I didn't feel like talking about the scoring because of threads like this to be honest. I just knew this league to be the league where a QB and D could trump RBs, and to try and draft accordingly, as opposed to other leagues we have been in that use the more normal 4 pts for a passing TD etc.

Roster worries are getting too complicated with people worrying about different things. I say just drop one bench spot and be done with it. 5's plenty to carry your stars through byes. You may have to cut a kicker on his bye or something, but I don't think that's so bad. You should have to make decisions, not just have room to stockpile whatever you might need.

Yeah, I just want the bench at 5 if we are carrying 12 teams.

So basically, Shaun Alexander and 4 others?

Ok, so to finalize this:
- Move bench roster from 6 to 5
- Use yahoo default scoring vs. the previous customized scoring

If these are correct I will make them today.

Scoring related:

I would leave Receiving yards 20 and .5 per reception.  I think that is very well done and gives people a reason to pickup a receiver who is known for third down or short completions.  It also combats (or lowers) the score a bit for the receiver who got the 60 yard TD.
Receiving:
+1 for 20 yards
.5 for Reception

Defensive break down, I like the points allowed section, I'd leave that as is.  15 points is well deserved for a shutout IMO, from there the tiers scale nicely I think.

Just my2cents.

I made the change to 5 bench spots yesterday.  We have about 6 more days to hash out the scoring.

I would prefer to decide the scoring prior to the draft, it has an impact on how people rank the players.

Well I would say to base it off of what Leeb suggested since that seems to be the consensus.  Then after the draft I will make the scoring changes to best boost my team to the championship!
